Nautical Area Guide for the challenging sea areas of Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego on the west coast of Chile to the Strait of Magellan and Beagle Channel to Ushuaia in Argentina as well as Cape Horn

The Sea Handbook Patagonia & Tierra del Fuegois written for those yachts wishing to sail Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego. The aim is to present the local conditions and detailed knowledge with the greatest possible accuracy so that this 2400sm coastline can be sailed and explored safely. Now in its third edition of 2016 this book comes with revised information and includes many new anchorages and bays described for the first time. 720 pages with numerous illustrations sketches and over 450 map sections text in English hardback with dust jacket.

Part 2 is strictly nautical and is the result of sixteen years of experience in this area. The authors have selected over 400 anchorages and natural harbours and tested them themselves. During this work all the information necessary for safe navigation has been collected and compiled in text and map form. The individual chapters are enriched by additional information on meteorology radio services and nautical science. Part 2 of the Sea Handbook for Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego is divided into thirteen sections.

Finally three appendices on the history of travel by yachts from 1900 to 2000 a bibliography and dictionary and the index and gazetteer are also printed.

About the authors

Although born in the mountains of Piedmont Mariolina Rolfo and Giorio Ardrizzi developed a great affection for the sea which led them to set out on a world voyage in their sailboat "Saudade III" in 1992. Their decision was not an escape from civilisation but an odyssey and search for more humane dimensions that protect the most precious resource: time.Both authors publish regularly in the Italian nautical magazine BOLINA and write technical articles and travelogues.
