This canal guide maps the Meuse valley from Troussey to Maastricht in Belgium. From Troussey to Sedan you sail on the Meuse Canal from Sedan you navigate on the Meuse proper.
On the French section of the Meuse all Freycinet locks are automated and controlled by remote control. After the Belgian border which is at Givet the locks are of European dimensions and are always attended to by a lock keeper.
The ports and moorings that you will find along the Meuse are particularly positive. Although there are only a few moorings they are of very good quality and the prices are reasonable.
