Area and coverage
The Reeds Western Almanac is divided into six sections. Parts one to four cover the west coast from Scotland in the north to Wales/Cornwall in the south. Parts five and six cover the island of Ireland. The individual sections correspond to the contents of the Reeds Nautical Almanac 2025.
The book includes the "Reeds Marina Guide 2025" with a directory of marinas, suppliers and service providers. The Marina Guide covers the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands.

Adlard Coles Nautical - Ein nautischer Verlag mit langer Geschichte
Adlard Coles Nautical wurde im Jahr 1947 von dem Segler Kaines Adlard Coles gegründet und ist ein nautischer Verlag, der sich auf die Veröffentlichung von über 300 gedruckten Büchern zu Themen spezialisiert hat, die vorallem für Segler und Motorbootfahrer von Interesse sind und gehört heute zu Bloomsbury Publishing. Die bekanntesten Titel sind dabei Reeds Almanac oder Törnfüher unter Adlard Coles.
Das Unternehmen bietet eine breite Palette an Literatur, die von Almanachen, Reiseführern und Lotsenbüchern bis hin zu Anleitungsbüchern, großformatigen Fotobüchern, Segelgeschichten, meeresbezogenen Nachschlagewerken, maritimer Geschichte, Humor und Wissenswertem reicht.
Im Jahr 1990 wurde Adlard Coles von A & C Black Publishers übernommen, die zuvor bereits Nautical Books erworben hatten. Die beiden Unternehmen wurden dann zu dem Imprint Adlard Coles Nautical fusioniert. Im Jahr 2000 kaufte Bloomsbury Publishing Plc A & C Black Publishers und erwarb somit auch Adlard Coles Nautical als Teil des Deals.
Im Jahr 2003 übernahm Adlard Coles Nautical den Reeds Nautical Almanac, was das Unternehmen zu einem führenden Anbieter von nautischen Veröffentlichungen machte. Im September 2014 erwarb Bloomsbury Conway Publishing, was dazu beitrug, die Liste der maritimen Geschichte zu erweitern und somit das Angebot von Adlard Coles Nautical Imprint zu ergänzen. Heute bleibt das Unternehmen ein wichtiger Verlag für nautische Literatur und ist ein beliebtes Ziel für jeden, der sich für das Meer und die damit verbundenen Aktivitäten interessiert.
