Until October 31,22 construction work will be carried out to build a new jetty.
Shipping is asked to be considerate.

Caution:

The western approach between northern nature reserve and Møllehage has ground depths (1.6m) and stones. Groundings have been reported!

It is urgently recommended to set course around the north cardinal buoy between the approach buoy (WP192) and red fairway buoy (WP191)!

The buoyage of the northern nature reserve restricted area has been retracted.
However, the restricted area still exists.

Bridge opening hours Kappeln:
15 min before every hour.
Apr. 1 - Oct. 31 in the period from 5.45 to 21.45 and
Nov. 1 - March 31 from 7.45 - 17.45 if necessary every hour.

From October, the following restrictions apply due to repair work, during which the Kappeln bascule bridge will not open during the following periods:

• Tuesday, 12.10.2021 - 22:00h until Thursday, 14.10.2021 - 05:30h
• Tuesday, 10/19/2021 - 22:00PM to Thursday, 10/21/2021 - 05:30AM
• Tuesday, 10/26/2021 - 22:00PM to Thursday, 10/28/2021 - 05:30AM
• Tuesday, 02.11.2021 - 22:00 until Thursday, 04.11.2021 - 05:30PM

In November from 08.11. to 21.11.2021 (45th and 46th week), the bridge cannot be lifted for approximately 7-10 days due to repair work.

Passage under the non-lifted bridge is possible at any time.

A bridge opening signal is any two flags.
The bridge passages and the Schleifahrwasser are subject to the SeeSchStrO. Sailing vessels have no right of way in the bridge passage. The right of way in the bridge passage is regulated according to the current. Boats running with the current have right of way.

The two south and north cardinal buoys and the red fairway buoy  in front of the harbor as temporary (1.4.-15.11) still also noted in the Danish nautical charts ,  are currently not present.

Vessels with low superstructures and without masts can continue to pass. The side passages of the Lindaunis road and railway bridge are now closed to shipping. Any two flags are set as bridge opening signals. The bridge passages and the Schleifahrwasser are subject to the SeeSchStrO. Sailing vessels have no privileges in the bridge passage. Traffic regulation in the narrows is governed by the Seeschifffahrtsstraßen-Ordnung § 25 para. (5) applying 2. (tide-free waters) and para. (6), if the traffic is released for both sides by the signal system. (Seeschifffahrtsstraßen-Ordnung, Annex I, Section I, A 19 Passage of movable bridges). This means that at the narrow point of the bridge passage, vehicles travelling in the direction of Schleswig have the right of way and vehicles travelling in the direction of Kappeln have to wait in case of oncoming traffic.

From 03 to 12.06.2022, a yellow light buoy (Fl) with the black inscription "Regatta" will be displayed at the position 54°25,996'N 010°10,510'E.

At position approx. 54°29,685'N 009° 41,271'E in front of the jetty of the Louisenlund boarding school is (jährl.von Apr.-Okt.) an unlit, blue bathing pontoon anchored.

The navigation is asked for attention.

Aufgrund von Reparaturarbeiten sowie zur Schonung des Bauwerkes steht die Gieselauschleuse vom 01.11.2021 bis zum 31.03.2022 der Schifffahrt nicht zur Verfügung. 

Aufgrund von Bauwerksinspektion am 16.05.22 und 18.05.2022 steht die Gieselauschleuse der Schifffahrt nicht zur Verfügung.

Maintenance work will be performed on the Vestbroen between pier 22 and pier 43.
Work will be performed from a mobile platform located under the bridge, reducing the vertical clearance by approximately 5m.
Information on platform movements is available from Great Belt VTS on VHF channel 11.

Until further notice, shallow draughts of 1m have been established at this location as well as in the harbour entrance.

It is recommended not to exceed a draught of 1m 

The East Cardinal beacon at the Schleihallenbrücke passenger jetty is not in position.

Due to work on the circulation gate, the south chamber of the Great (New) Brunsbüttel Lock will be unavailable to navigation until 30.06.2022 during normal daytime working hours (Mon-Fri from 07:30 - approx. 16:00 h).

The ferry station Schwebefähre Rendsburg (not free ferry) in the area of the Rendsburg railroad high bridge is back in operation.

The ferry station is marked according to the SeeSchStrO with board signs.

The navigation is asked to pay attention.

Until further notice the green fairway marking with top sign is missing

Due to repair work, the western area of the jetty is closed to all navigation.
The pleasure boat mooring is still usable, limited, in the eastern area. 

The buoy "WarnG.T09" was temporarily withdrawn

During the period from 18 November 21 to the end of March 2022, repair work will take place in the area of the entire outer pier.
The harbour can only be entered after prior consultation with the company "Vest Fjord ApS" Phone +45 2158 6227.

at the first jetty (and probably at the others as well) a chain goes from the jetty into the water to a concrete block at the jetty.
The depth here is reduced to 1.5 to 2 m at a distance of about 2 m from the jetty head.
To moor longitudinally at the jetty head is therefore not recommended.

Depths have been reduced in both Nordre and Vestre Havn, where the depth is approximately 3.9 m for the time being.

The yellow sparTn "Mess-G" with the identifier FL(5).Y.20s is currently not in position.

A vessel with a draught of 1.9m has had grounding contact with a rock while in position.

The red bouy at the postion is currently not in position.

For the purpose of extending the south pier in the marina, construction work is taking place in its extension. Be warned of stones in the underwater area.

The previous pier lighting F.G. is switched off until further notice.

UXO - Anchoring and fishing prohibited

Until further notice, a reduction in depth of approx. 2.5 m was determined at this point.

In the Little Belt north of Brandsö, two stone depots were set up near the coast by the end of April 2021. The two depots are each marked by four unlit spar Buoys with top marks.

Due to repair work, the fog signal of the Kiel lighthouse will be out of service from August 24, 2020 until further notice.

The shipping industry is hereby requested to navigate the area with appropriate caution.

north of the island of Romsø two stones were reported directly below the surface with 0.8m and 0.3m, as well as immediately east of the old lighthouse, also with 0.8m.

In order to build a new harbor, a restricted area will be established southeast of Rødby Havn. The restricted area is marked by yellow buoys with a cross top, Fl.Y (4) 10s.

Until further notice, a restricted area in front of Langholz was set up.

The buoys used for the designation are yellow barrel buoys with a red cross and the inscription 'Sperr.-G'.
