Cruising guide about the course of the river from the Oise to the Sambre. This book takes you from Chauny on the Saint-Quentin canal to the valley of the Sambre in Belgium. To do this, you follow the valley of the Oise to the dividing point before going down the Sambre to Namur, where it joins the Meuse.
This journey is possible since July 2021, when the Sambre-Oise canal, which had been closed to navigation since 2005, was reopened. Two canal bridges were in poor condition and threatened to collapse and flood the surrounding villages. Now that this has been remedied, the exploration of the area can begin!
