Regions overview

The ATL 1 chart set is suitable for water sports enthusiasts who want to cross the Bay of Biscay and, above all, explore the Spanish north coast. The charts accompany you to the north of the Spanish west coast, up to the city of Vigo. Please bear in mind that the average water depth is just under 1800 metres and that you will need mixed weather for a safe crossing due to currents and turbulence. Coming from the French coast, there are of course also various ports on the Spanish coast with harbour facilities. Cities such as San Sebastian, Bilbao, La Coruna and Vigo are definitely worth a visit if you plan some time. But nature lovers will also get their money's worth thanks to the mountain ranges, cliffs and secluded bays of northern Spain.

If you are travelling towards the French coast, the FR8 is a must. To get to the Portuguese coast, you should take the NV Charts Atlantic ATL2 in the luggage.
